STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Chamber is organized for the purpose of creating and maintaining a favorable business and civic climate by energetically representing the collective interests of business in the private and public decision-making process of the community by disseminating relevant information to the membership and by becoming involved in other aspects of community life that affect the business climate.

Networking – Grow your business! Increase your contacts! Ever wish you could just get your foot in the proverbial door? Well, the Chamber can open wide the door. Meet new people. Let people know more about what you do. Learn from other Chamber members. The Chamber has monthly luncheons, Business After Hours gatherings, Open Houses, Ribbon Cuttings and lots of other opportunities to mingle and chat with your fellow Chamber members and prospective clients.
Advertising & Marketing Opportunities– Get Your Name Out There! The Chamber website ( www.lebanon-ky.com) gets thousands of hits and every Chamber member is listed. The Chamber uses members as sponsors for the Newsletter and makes available discounted advertising projects throughout the year including the Lebanon-Marion County area maps, the Chamber information packets and more.
Business Referrals – Get Word of Mouth Referrals to Your Door! The Chamber constantly answers inquiries from businesses, individuals and industry coming to this area. And the only names provided are the names of Chamber members only.
Project Bidding – Enjoy some “home cookin” – and we don’t mean the ham!! Membership status is a major factor in determining winning bidders on all contracts or items of work required by the Chamber for all events, including Ham Days. We favor Chamber members as long as they are competitive in their bids.
Community Involvement – Sometimes ‘It Takes a Village’!!! The Chamber sponsors community involvement and community pride by hosting Ham Days, the annual Farm, Home & Garden Show, Dickens Christmas, Political Forums, Antique Appraisal Fair, and many other community-oriented.
Discounted health insurance - NEW in 2006 – J-Plan Plus offers an affordable association benefits plan by United Healthcare, Delta Dental, Colonial Supplemental and Allianz. The Chamber is currently considering adding discounted auto and other forms of insurance coverage to its list of benefits. This discounted insurance is for Chamber members only! Contact your local Chamber member broker, or call the Chamber for more information on how you might save dollars for your business with this discounted healthcare.
Information – Keep abreast of developments and star as a community spotlight in the bi-monthly newsletter. Your Chamber Connection has articles on chamber activities, events and business information. Advertising space is available through the chamber office. Chamber members receive a free listing in the membership directory to give to newcomers, other members and new businesses. Each month at least one Chamber member is featured as the “spotlight” for the month.
Resource/Research – The Chamber has listings of Marion County civic clubs, doctors, schools, businesses, maps, etc. The Chamber also has information on tourist attractions throughout the state of Kentucky and all of this information is FREE to members.
Improved Quality of Life – The Chamber of Commerce is the only organization working full time to improve the business climate and quality of life in Marion County.
Membership Luncheons – The Chamber will coordinate seven membership luncheons with guest speakers on topics that relate to the Chamber’s focus on education, tourism, business and industry.
